UniCore features

What the platform does, module by module, and what each one saves you from building.

Digital Independence

UniCore runs on your infrastructure. No cloud vendor required.

Benefits
  • Data sovereignty – Store data in your datacenter or region
  • Choice of database – SQL Server or PostgreSQL
  • Docker-ready – Container deployment for Web API, Job Executor, and API Gateway
  • Plugin-based architecture – Extend without forking
  • Module-based licensing – Commercial license per module, matched to your usage

Relevance: Companies that must comply with data residency, GDPR, or strict on-premises policies.

Workload Automation

Job execution engine with scheduled jobs, pipelines, and event-triggered workflows.

Features
  • Job types – Simple jobs, scheduled (cron), pipelines, code-based jobs
  • Triggers – Timer (cron), webhook (HTTP call), internal events, manual
  • Visual pipeline builder – Drag-and-drop: Input → Transform → Split/Merge → Output
  • Built-in blocks – Fetch API, filter, map, aggregate, database I/O, email
  • Extensible – Add custom blocks (C#) and node types
  • Message queue – Database-backed messaging; events trigger webhooks and pipelines
Benefits
  • Automate data processing, integrations, and notifications
  • React to external webhooks (for example from IoT systems) without custom glue code
  • Design complex flows visually instead of writing orchestration scripts

API Gateway & API Relay System

Encapsulate external APIs behind UniCore. The platform adds authentication, permissions, and subscription access.

Features
  • API Relay – Point to any OpenAPI/Swagger-described API
  • Route mapping – Expose at /eps/{routeInfix}/... under a single host
  • Permission integration – Each relayed endpoint gets UniCore permission checks
  • Unified Swagger UI – One documentation portal for all relayed APIs
  • Products link API relays – A product can bundle multiple relays and endpoints
  • API Gateway deployment – Dedicated gateway for multi-tenant routing
Benefits
  • Ship API products faster: focus on business logic; UniCore handles auth and access control
  • Single sign-on and permission model across all integrated APIs
  • Easy onboarding: add relay → link product → assign subscription plans

User & Permission Management

Role-based access with inheritance, organization units, and fine-grained entity permissions.

Features
  • Named & entity permissions – Application-level and entity CRUD
  • Roles – Assign permissions to roles; users inherit via role membership
  • Organization units – Hierarchical OUs with inherited permissions
  • Active denial – Explicit deny overrides grants
  • Session-based auth – Bearer token session keys; tenant and user context propagated
  • Permission caching – Cached permission checks for high-load scenarios
  • Tenant isolation – Automatic filtering so tenants only see their own data
Benefits
  • Control access at user, role, and organization level
  • One permission model for UniCore APIs, relayed APIs, and custom endpoints
  • Built-in multi-tenancy for B2B or white-label products

IoT & Time-Series Data Collection

Time-series storage for sensor and device data with category, origin, and optional JSON tags.

Features
  • Time series entities – Organize data streams (e.g. per device, sensor, location)
  • Data points – category, origin, timestamp, value, tags (JSON)
  • Bulk ingestion – Add many data points in one call
  • Querying – Filter by category, origin, time range, tags
  • Permission-aware – Create/read protected by UniCore permissions
Benefits
  • Ingest and query device/sensor data without custom storage
  • Combine with pipelines for processing (webhook → pipeline → time series)
  • Use for dashboards, alerts, or analytics integrations

Product & Subscription Management

Products bundle endpoints and API relays. Subscription plans define quotas, roles, and product access.

Features
  • Products – Collections of endpoints and API relays; what a customer "owns" when they subscribe
  • Subscription plans – Group key (S/M/L/XL), quotas, assignable roles, associated products
  • User subscriptions – Link users to plans; automatic renewal job support
  • Quotas – Usage-count limits per user/plan; route-level enforcement
  • Bandwidth limits – Per-route ingress/egress throttling
  • Rate limiting – Burst configuration per subscription plan
Benefits
  • Define once: plans, quotas, product access; enforce everywhere
  • Automatically grant roles and product access on subscription
  • 403 when quota exceeded; no extra coding for usage limits

Faster Time to Market

UniCore provides a ready-made platform layer so you can focus on product-specific logic and UX.

Benefits
  • Cut development time – No need to implement auth, permissions, subscriptions from scratch
  • Reuse across products – Same platform for multiple digital products
  • Graphical automation – Non-developers can design workflows
  • Extensibility – Plugins and custom blocks for domain-specific logic
What you get out of the box
  • Authentication and session management
  • RBAC and multi-tenancy
  • API Relay to wrap and protect your API
  • Subscription plans and quota enforcement
  • Visual pipeline editor for automations
  • Webhook triggers for event-driven flows
  • Time-series storage for IoT
  • Caching, messaging, jobs, PDF generation, mail, social connectors
